AVOID NAME BRANDS TO SAVE MONEY
Purchase quality items not just name brand items to save money. You should be looking for is quality. This does not always come with a name brand label attached to it though. A lot of times, you can actually find a quality product that you can use a coupon for. Some off brands will provide quality for a lower price than a name brand with a coupon, so do research before purchasing and item.
You should know that branding is one of the oldest and most superficial marketing ploys that has ever been conceived. Looking for quality instead of the name brand will save money. The price of the item will reflect a higher price to cover the cost of advertising and packaging. Of course, there are certain times and certain products when name brands really are much better than the other brands. Most of the time though, you should stop to ask yourself why you need the brand name when you could pay less money for the supermarket’s brand.
Take advantage of coupons to try new or off brands at an “introductory” price to save money. You may find these new products that really just as good as the brand name products and you may prefer them over a name brand. Get past your “need” to purchase brand name products so that you can save money. Of course, there are times when you will want the brand name and that is fine. Just make sure that you try the other brand first. This way you know for sure what you are buying and you are sure that you are not just throwing away your money
