SAVE MONEY ON MANICURES, PEDICURES, AND HAIRCUTS
You can save money on your manicures, pedicures, and haircuts by getting them done at your local beauty training school. Here you will be able to get professional work at a fraction of the cost.Choosing a shorter cut will allow you to go longer between haircuts and save more money.
Some personal care can be done at home. It can be done yourself or by a friend. Be cautious with haircuts, mistakes can be costly.
Try giving yourself a manicure or pedicure at home to save money. If you choose to give yourself your own manicure or pedicure, here are the steps that you need to take:
1. Gather together the supplies that you need. These include a bowl with warm water and bath salts for your feet, 2 hand towels (you may wish to warm them), cotton puffs, nail polish remover, nail clippers, a nail file, an exfoliate, lotion, body oil, a cuticle pusher, and a pumice stone for removing any dead skin.
2. Once you have all of your supplies, you will want to remove the polish and soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes.
3. Take 1 of your feet out of the water and dry it with a towel. Now you can trim your toenails and push down your cuticles. It is also time to use your pumice stone to remove any dead skin. Once done, place your foot back into the water and work on the other foot.
4. After both feet are done, remove them from the water and dry them off. Massage some lotion or an exfoliate into your foot and lower leg.
5. Buff and polish your nails with a name brand nail polish.
This is the same process that you will want to take for giving yourself a manicure as well. You can save money by using some of the same tools for both. You will only need to make a minor investment and save yourself a great deal of money learning to do your own manicures and pedicures.
